Nellya
Fencers is a competitive fencing club located just outside of Atlanta,
Georgia. After only a few short years, Nellya Fencers has achieved
excellent results locally, nationally, and internationally in the
sport of fencing. It is no stretch to say that Nellya Fencers is the
premiere fencing club in the Southeast and among the best in the country.
Founded
in 1990 by Maestro Arkady Burdan and other local fencers, Nellya Fencers
has always striven for excellence. With a 2000 World Champion, an
Olympian in the 1996 games, multiple World Championship and World
Cup medalists, and many national medalists, Nellya Fencers has achieved
its goal to strengthen the level of fencing in Atlanta, as well as
the country.
Another
source of pride for Nellya Fencers, is its beautiful new facility.
Only a few miles from both I-75 and I-285, Nellya Fencers is conveniently
located for almost everyone in the metropolitan area (please
see contact page for directions). The facility has eight full
size fencing strips, six of which are electric, and a large lounge
area which looks out onto the fencing salle through glass. This is
ideal for parents who wish to watch or supervise their child practice.
